Sonic ATF Type F
Description
Sonic ATF Type F automatic transmission fluid is a highly oxidation resistant long-life fluid specifically designed to meet the high friction co-efficient required by older Ford transmissions.
Application
Sonic ATF Type F is required by all Ford C4 and FMX automatic transmissions, as well as all pre-1975 C6 Ford automatic transmissions. The Type F fluid can also be used in automatic transmissions of Toyota and Volvo vehicles. Sonic ATF Type F is fully approved for Ford specification ESW-M2C33-F.
Performance Features
Sonic ATF Type F provides the following performance features:
- Has a higher friction co-efficient at low idling speeds
- Oxidation inhibitors to prevent deposits on transmission parts
- Corrosion inhibitors to prevent acids from attacking transmission parts
- Does not cause excessive swelling or shrinkage of seals
